As part of this year of the Clean Water event, divers will dive using their own diving equipment below the surface of Štrbské, Popradské, Velické, Nové Štrbské pleso (High Tatras tarns) and Lom-Kvetnica (lake) near Poprad to catch the garbage from the water after the tourist season.
The event is an accompanying event of the International Diving Film Festival, which takes place from October 10 to 13, 2019 at the Pieris Hotel in Podbanské.
The divers in all previous years of the Clean Water Action have made a total of 1,632 dives and brought from the water 6,606.5 kg of garbage.
In the bags with which the divers are submerged, over the years, for example historic candlesticks or kitchenware ended, caught canned bottles, cans, candy containers and plastic cups. However, they also caught hockey gates, a tram chair, a goulash-kettle, ratrak or ice-saw, which were once transported from Štrbské Pleso to restaurants in Pest.
