Craftsmen in  Štrbské Pleso

The 10th International Carving Symposium will take place in Štrbské Pleso from 16 to 19 July 2026.  

Visitors and tourists will be able to see how wood will be transformed into works of art over four days under the hands of experienced and skilled carvers. The carvers will create sculptures mainly with the motif of flora and fauna, which is an integral part of the High Tatras.

After the event, all the works of art in the form of wooden benches or friguar sculptures will be placed in the territory of the municipalities of Štrba, Tatranská Štrba and Štrbské Pleso to be admired by the local inhabitants and visitors.

The event is organised by the municipality of Štrba with the financial support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
