CLEAN WATERS

As part of the upcoming edition of the Clean Waters event, divers using their own diving equipment will submerge into Štrbské, Popradské, Velické, and Nové Štrbské mountain lakes, as well as the Kvetnica quarry near Poprad, on Friday, October 13, 2026, to clear trash left behind after the summer tourist season.

Last year, participants managed to retrieve 79 kilograms of waste during the event. Divers found the most debris in Kvetnica – a total of 32 kg. This was followed by Štrbské Pleso with 24 kg, Popradské Pleso with 13 kg, Nové Štrbské Pleso with 9 kg, and Velické Pleso with 1 kg.
