Tourist event of the year with a long tradition
On the traditional date, i.e. the second Sunday in September (14. September 2025), the 45h annual climb under Štrbský štít will take place.
Štrbský štít is a peak located at the end of the Mlynická valley in the High Tatras, which is characterized by its typical shape of a nice pyramid. The name of the peak is derived from the village of Štrba, in the cadastral territory of which the peak was located until 1947.
From where it is best seen: The most beautiful view of it is from behind the Skok Waterfall, above the Skok Lake and from below the Capieho Pleso.
What to see from the peak: From the peak there is a nice view of the Mlynická valley, the surrounding ridges and peaks (Hrubý vrch, Satan, Štrbské Solisko, Kôprovský štít and others).
The top of Štrbský štít is not accessible to the hiking public by a marked trail, therefore the common hiking ascent will take place only under Štrbský štít.
