The SNOW Cross-country Skiing Resort in the High Tatras offers quality facilities for all. Whether you enjoy cross-country skiing recreationally or professionally.
Cross-country skiing throughout the season
Štrbské Pleso offers regularly-prepared professional cross-country skiing trails.
You will find eight loops measuring 1.4 to 5 kilometres. The stadium and loops up to 2.5 km long can be used throughout the winter season thanks to artificial snow.
Some trails are endorsed by a FIS certificate, most being of mountainous character with vertical drops, suitable for fitness and sport skiing. Children, beginners and recreational skiers will be delighted too – with two loops and the stadium trail.
The resort is open to the public from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. (including evening skiing). All trails are closed and prepared after 6 p.m. Please do not enter the trails! The Snowcat is bigger and faster than you - and a coming-together is unpleasant for both parties.
Nature conservation
All the quiet white trails run through living natural environment. Please be considerate when on them. Everybody is allowed to enter forests at their own risk and, at the same time, everybody is required to behave in a way that does not damage the national park.
Do not enter the trails after 6 p.m. Preparing of the surface is performed by Snowcats towed on a steel rope - it’s never pleasant and potentially dangerous to meet them.
The fee according to the price list for organized groups and sports clubs is paid to the administrator of the SNOW Štrbské Pleso cross-country skiing resort.

Your kind contributions are only used for:
- the maintenance and service of cross-country skiing trails and the car park
- snow making
- lighting

General guidelines
for using the resort, cross-country skiing trails, and the stadium
- No dogs are allowed on the trails or stadium premises
- Do not enter the trails or stadium premises outside operating hours (especially during trail preparation and snow-making)
- Do not enter the trails or stadium premises with prams or child trailers (including those towed by a skier).
- Do not enter the tracks on foot, bicycle, snowshoes or skis other than cross-country skis.
- Skiing is only allowed in the direction of marked loops and regulations.
- If the conditions so allow, trails can only be entered at entry points A (main stadium), B (below Patria Hotel), and C (over the FIS Hotel).
- Lake trails are not part of the resort and are not prepared. Enter at your own risk.
